Refund policy

This policy applies to purchases made from The Defender Brick®, a brand operated by TDB di Giacciani Marco.

Return window

We have a 14-day return policy. This means that, where a return is legally applicable, you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

For orders delivered in multiple shipments, the 14-day return period starts from the delivery of the last item in the order.

To request a return or cancellation, please use the “Manage Your Order” link available in the footer of our store, or contact us at support@thedefenderbrick.com with your order number and the reason for your request.

Eligibility for returns

To be eligible for a return, the physical item must be in the same condition in which you received it: unused, unassembled, complete, and in its original packaging.

Returned items must include all parts, accessories, packaging, labels, and any included materials.

Items returned incomplete, damaged, used, assembled, or without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return shipping costs

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying return shipping costs, unless the return is due to an error by The Defender Brick® or the item arrives damaged or incorrect.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service. The Defender Brick® is not responsible for returned items lost or damaged during return shipping.

Original shipping costs may not be refundable, unless the return is due to an error by The Defender Brick® or the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Order cancellations

Cancellation requests may be submitted before an order has been fulfilled.

Once an order has been fulfilled, shipped, or prepared for dispatch, cancellation may no longer be possible. In that case, the return rules described in this policy may apply, where legally applicable.

Digital building instructions

TDB® products may include two separate components:

  • a physical brick pack;

  • digital PDF building instructions.

Digital PDF building instructions are delivered electronically and are not refundable once access has been granted or the file has been sent to the customer, where the customer has expressly agreed to receive the digital content before the end of the withdrawal period and has acknowledged that this results in the loss of the right of withdrawal for the digital component.

If a return of the physical brick pack is accepted, any refund may exclude the value of digital PDF instructions that have already been delivered or made accessible.

No printed instructions are included unless expressly stated on the product page.

Custom, personalised, and made-to-order products

Certain products may not be eligible for return where they are made to the customer’s specifications, clearly personalised, customised, modified on request, commissioned, or produced with personalised printed elements or selected configuration options.

This may include, but is not limited to, products with customer-selected configurations, custom printed parts, personalised details, special requests, commissioned builds, or items produced specifically for a customer order.

Damages, missing parts, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us as soon as possible if the item is damaged, defective, incomplete, or if you received the wrong item.

If the issue is confirmed, we will evaluate the case and make it right. Depending on the situation, this may include sending replacement parts, correcting the order, or offering another appropriate solution.

Please keep the original packaging and provide clear photos of the issue when contacting us.

European Union 14-day cooling-off period

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you may have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you, receive the goods. For orders delivered in multiple shipments, the period starts from the day on which the last item is delivered.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision within the 14-day period by using the return/cancellation option available on our store where provided, or by contacting us at support@thedefenderbrick.com.

Please note that the right of withdrawal may not apply, or may be limited, for:

  • digital PDF building instructions once access has been granted or the file has been sent, where the required consent and acknowledgement have been provided;

  • goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised;

  • products customised, modified, commissioned, or produced at the customer’s request;

  • physical items that have been used, assembled, damaged, altered, or returned incomplete.

Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.

If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that your bank, credit card company, or payment provider may require additional time to process and post the refund.
