Shipping policy

This policy applies to purchases made from The Defender Brick®, a brand operated by TDB di Giacciani Marco.

Shipping from Italy

All orders are shipped from Italy.

We ship worldwide using trusted international courier services, mainly FedEx and UPS, depending on the destination, shipping option, and availability.

Shipping rates

Shipping rates are calculated and displayed at checkout before payment.

Shipping costs may vary depending on the destination country, order weight, package size, courier service, and selected shipping method.

Unless expressly stated at checkout, shipping costs do not include import duties, taxes, customs fees, or courier handling charges applied by local authorities or carriers.

Order processing times

Processing times depend on the availability and production status of the product.

Ready-to-ship products are usually prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days after the order is placed.

Prepared-to-order, made-to-order, limited-run, or handcrafted products may require up to 4–6 weeks before dispatch, unless a different timeframe is stated on the product page.

Processing times may be extended during public holidays, vacation periods, high-demand periods, supplier delays, or other exceptional circumstances. When relevant, we usually communicate temporary shipping delays through our website banner, product pages, email, or social media channels.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Italian public holidays.

Prepared-to-order and limited-run products

Many TDB® products are produced in limited quantities, prepared by hand, or completed after the order is placed.

This may include sorting original LEGO® elements, preparing custom UV printed parts, checking the parts list, packaging the brick pack, and preparing the digital building instructions.

For this reason, dispatch times may vary from product to product.

If your order includes both ready-to-ship items and prepared-to-order items, the order may be shipped together once all items are ready, unless otherwise agreed.

Digital building instructions

TDB® products may include two separate components:

  • a physical brick pack;

  • digital PDF building instructions.

Digital PDF building instructions are delivered separately by email or digital access.

No printed instructions are included in the package unless expressly stated on the product page.

The delivery of digital PDF instructions does not necessarily mean that the physical brick pack has already been shipped.

Tracking information

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information, where available.

Please allow some time for the tracking link to update after the courier has collected or processed the package.

International shipping

We ship worldwide. However, some destinations may be temporarily unavailable due to courier restrictions, customs limitations, conflict areas, sanctions, local delivery issues, or other circumstances outside our control.

If we are unable to ship to your destination after an order has been placed, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Customs, duties, and import taxes

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs fees, or courier handling charges upon delivery.

These charges are determined by the destination country’s customs authorities or by the courier and are the customer’s responsibility.

The Defender Brick® does not control these charges and cannot predict their exact amount.

Unless expressly stated at checkout, orders are shipped under a model where the customer is responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs fees, or handling charges required by the destination country.

VAT

VAT is not charged by The Defender Brick® at checkout under the applicable Italian flat-rate tax regime.

For orders shipped outside the European Union, local import taxes or customs charges may still be applied by the destination country upon delivery.

Delivery times

Estimated delivery times depend on the destination country, courier service, customs clearance, and local delivery conditions.

Delivery estimates provided at checkout or by the courier are indicative only and are not guaranteed.

The Defender Brick® is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, courier delays, incorrect delivery information, local holidays, weather conditions, strikes, force majeure events, or other circumstances outside our control.

Incorrect or incomplete shipping address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

If an order is delayed, returned, lost, or cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, any additional shipping costs, return costs, customs charges, or reshipment costs may be the customer’s responsibility.

If you notice an error in your shipping address, please contact us as soon as possible at support@thedefenderbrick.com.

Once an order has been fulfilled or shipped, we may no longer be able to modify the delivery address.

Failed delivery or unclaimed packages

If a package is returned to us because delivery was refused, failed, unclaimed, or because customs charges were not paid by the customer, we will contact the customer to evaluate the available options.

Any original shipping cost, return shipping cost, customs charge, courier handling fee, or reshipment cost may be deducted from any refund or charged before reshipping the order.

Digital PDF building instructions that have already been delivered or made accessible may not be refundable, as described in our Return & Refund Policy.

Damaged packages, missing parts, or delivery issues

Please inspect your package upon delivery.

If your package arrives damaged, if items are missing, or if you believe there is an issue with your order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@thedefenderbrick.com.

Please include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photos of the package, shipping label, packaging materials, and affected items.

If the issue is confirmed, we will evaluate the case and make it right. Depending on the situation, this may include sending replacement parts, correcting the order, or offering another appropriate solution.

Lost packages

If tracking shows that a package is delayed or potentially lost, please contact us at support@thedefenderbrick.com.

We will assist you in checking the shipment status with the courier where possible.

A package cannot be considered lost until the courier confirms the loss or the applicable investigation period has been completed.
